testo=Aluminium
Aluminium is a modern metal discovered in a laboratory at the beginning of the 19th century. It is a lightweighted and resistent metal  of silvery-grey colour because by the oxidation coat which develops quickly if exposed to air and which prevents from corrosion. Aluminium is malleable and ductile and can be  processed easily. The first industrial manufacturing dates back to 1854 when scientists succeeded in producing sufficiently pure aluminum.
By the end of 19th century, the electrolytic process to produce aluminum was patented. In this process aluminium oxid is obtained from aluminia by dissolving it under hight operating temperature in molten salt (cryolite) and then reduced the pure metal.
This process was diffusing very fast and is still the only industrial procedure to produce aluminium today. The most important  mineral to extract aluminium is bauxite. This metal is frequently used in everyday life and can be recycled by fusing it again.
